A Staggering Number Of People In The UAE Don’t Have Home Insurance According To A New Study

Compareit4me recently hosted a survey that shows the attitudes of UAE residents towards the concept of home content insurance, and the results are rather shocking. 

The survey was conducted on 330 individuals – with almost 70% understanding the risk associated with not having home insurance but still continuing without it.

Ironically, 84.5% of UAE residents admit that they would feel more comfortable with knowing that their belongings are covered by home insurance when they travel but the reasons as to why they aren’t are various. 

Stats show 35% prefer to simply take the chance that nothing will happen, 35% don’t see the point of it, 19% said it was too expensive and 9.2% claimed it was too difficult to arrange. 

Just do it 

The great news is that the average policy is roughly AED220 – which will save you a lot if you ever have to re-furbish your whole home – and can be arranged quick and easily.
