The Price For Uber Is Changing In Dubai: Here’s Everything You Need To Know

This is both good news and bad news, depending how you look at it.

Uber customers have been notified that the base fare for Uber rates is changing for all UberSELECT and Uber VIP trips. 

Going forward, rather than a standard base fare, all fares will be subject to fluctuation based on time of the day, day of the week and whether it’s a holiday day. Prices will be higher during busy periods, but during quieter periods, you can expect cheaper fares.

What’s the price difference?

The current base fare sits at AED8. Going forward the moving base fare will sit at AED5.4 – AED6.7-AED10.6 according to a Gulf News report.

Waiting charge stays at AED0.5 per minute

The distance per kilometre is changing from AED1.83 to AED2.25

The minimum fare is changing from AED15 to AED17
