Men Arrested Practicing Unauthorised Abortions And Surgeries In A Dubai Flat

Dubai Police and the Dubai Health Authority have apprehended unlicensed doctors preforming unauthorized surgeries in a Dubai flat.

They were performing abortions and other surgeries with the use of unregistered drugs in a residential flat, according to the Khaleej Times.

Medical equipment and drugs were confiscated during the raid after Dubai Police were alerted to the operation and further investigations revealed patients were lead to believe this was a licensed facility and that they were in the hands of licensed practitioners.

It’s illegal to practice medicine without a licence

The men who were apprehended will be referred to the Dubai Public Prosecution.

Residents are urged to inform police of irregularities in medical service, to be wary of online adverts, and to be sure of the credibility of a hospital/medical centre before seeking treatment.
