A New Virtual Tunnel Will Cut Traveller Security Check Time To Just TEN Seconds At Dubai Airports
Forget security counters and slow moving checks because one of the most exciting and practical developments from Gitex Technology Week has been revealed and, once implemented, it will dramatically reduce your travel time.
On Monday, HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum visited the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) platform at Gitex and walked through the virtual tunnel, which is fitted out with a facial recognition scan and eighty cameras.
With an aim to enhance travel procedures at Dubai Airports, this new design will cut security check time to just ten seconds.

80 cameras are set up throughout the tunnel which will determine whether you are deemed safe to move forward or whether you need to proceed to security for further checks
