Here’s Another Way To Enjoy The NYE Fireworks And it Doesn’t Involve Traffic Congestions

One of the highlights of New Year’s Eve in Dubai is the fireworks across different locations in the city. If you want to enjoy these spectacular displays that light up the skies, there’s a way that doesn’t involve getting stuck in your car for hours – say hello to the marine transit services. 

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority has announced special offers aboard the water bus, water taxi, Dubai ferry and abra for 31st December. This way residents and tourists can enjoy the festive fireworks at the Burj Khalifa, Burj Al Arab, the Atlantis and Dubai Water Canal.

Here are some things you need to know:

  • Dubai Ferry journeys will start at 9pm and go on until 1.30am. The service starts from Marina Mall Station (Dubai Marina), Ghubaiba Station (Dubai Creek), the Dubai Water Canal Station (Dubai Water Canal) to the assembly point near the Burj Al Arab, Burj Khalifa and Ras Al Khor Wildlife Sanctuary.

The fare is AED 300 for silver class, AED 450 for gold class. Those between the ages of two and 10 travel at half price while those under the age of two travel for free.

  • The water bus journeys will start at 10.30pm and go on until 1am. The service starts from the Terrace and Promenade Station (Dubai Marina) and heads towards the assembly point next to the Palm Jumeirah Bridge. 

The fare is AED 125 per person. Those under the age of two travel for free.

  • The abra journeys will start at 10.30pm and go on until 1am. The service starts from Dubai Festival City Station, Jaddaf Marine Transport Station heading to Dubai Creek.

The fare is AED 125 per person. Those under the age of two travel for free.
