Officials Have Released A Statement On The Evacuation Which Took Place At Mall Of The Emirates Earlier Today

Earlier on Monday, as heavy rains lashed out in parts of Dubai, Mall of the Emirates had to ask shoppers and tenants to evacuate the mall because of technical issues.

There was prior conjecture that the mall had to clear the premises because of disturbance caused by the heavy rains, however, the minor technical problem which had set off the alarms was taken care of immediately and business resumed as normal.

The management at Mall of the Emirates released an official statement saying,

Earlier today, Mall of Emirates faced a temporary power outage due to a technical issue. Standard procedures were followed to ensure the safety of visitors and tenants. The matter was resolved immediately and business is as usual at the mall.We apologize for the inconvenience caused to both our tenants and visitors.

The mall’s alarm had gone off to alert the shoppers of the evacuation, where they were then assisted out by the mall securities

The mall management had swiftly addressed all complaints and queries regarding the mall evacuation and ensured the safety of all the visitors and residents involved

Residents further shared that there was no panic at the mall, all procedures were handled in a calm and effective manner
