Supermarkets will have the opportunity to donate
The food bank allows businesses with surplus food to donate to the bank which will in turn distribute the food to the needy, rather than letting the food go to waste.
Canned and packaged foods will be accepted.
The bank will also collect surplus food from nearby supermarkets and dining outlets for further distribution.
Today, over 1,000 nearby labourers working in a nearby construction site were given food from the bank.
