Creative Folks: Dubai Lynx Is Back And This Year’s Line-up Of Speakers Is One To Watch For

Avatar

Dubai Lynx has made quite the name for itself in Dubai, being a local platform that serves an inspiration to the city’s ever-growing creative community.

Known for bringing the BEST speakers that touch up on anything and everything media, digital, tech and communications- the festival is BACK and this year’s two-day event is one to keep an eye on.

Dubai Lynx 2019 has taken things to the next level

…by bringing in speakers, top creatives, REAL influencers in the digital world, a variety of start-ups that have proven themselves and ofc ALL of us in the media-savvy generation or at least those wanting to learn a thing or two about the creative industry.

More than 90 speakers have already CONFIRMED for this event

Saaaay whaat!?

Yep, in just TWO days plus another day specifically for awarding the region’s creatives, there are around 92 talented, inspiring and creative seniors not only in Dubai but in the region who will share their knowledge.

Everyone from the Director of Expo 2020’s Alaa Al Shroogi, Ministry of Health’s writer Lamya Algaith, to KSA’s J Walter Thompson Director- the incredible Hessa Al Sudairy.

The line up does not disappoint and is extensive so that every creative in various fields will have someone to look forward to seeing and have lessons to learn.

Among them, is former executive creative director of Amazon

Michael Boychuk, of Amazon, who’s best known for his incredible brains behind the 2018 Super Bowl campaign ‘Alexa Loses Her Voice’ will be in Dubai for TWO sessions at Dubai Lynx on March 12.

Catch him at the 30-minute discussion called ‘Win With What’s Wrong: The Value of A Flawed Brand’ at the Transformation Stage and get a chance to meet him shortly after.

Don’t miss out on the chance to watch a sesh on marketing culture by Jodi Harris

Jodi Harris, An Heuser Busch’s Vice President of Marketing Culture & Learning, will be sharing her wisdom with creatives on March 11 at the Transformation Stage.

She’s a boss woman who’s known for inspiring initiatives like ‘Women in Beer’, that offers mentoring from women at all levels of the organisation. More deets here.

And the long-kept mystery guest coming is, waiiiit for it… Steve Harvey!

Just when you thought this line-up couldn’t get better, the mystery guest for Dubai Lynx 2019 has finally been revealed.

Steve Harvey will be joining MBC’s Director Ali Jaber in a 40-minute talk about ‘Why The Future of TV is More TV?’

SO EXCITING!

Other reasons (other than the AHMAYZING speakers) to attend:

Network, network, network

If the speaker count is that high, imagine the business-owners and likeminded individuals who’ll be around.

Use this opportunity to gain insight, perspective, or simply to promote yourself and your work in an event that’s made FINALLY for you.

This doesn’t happen very often.

There’s an AMAZING opportunity for TEN lucky women in Dubai that you might be interested in

‘See It, Be It’ is an initiative set up by this year’s Dubai Lynx to help TEN women working in the communications industry a chance to gain mentorship, executive training, AND exclusive networking opportunities.

Because there’s super cool competitions that will challenge you

There are a number of interesting competitions taking place during the festival that isn’t just for students but young professionals too.

For more info and detail on each competition, see below:

Even creative initiatives for MBC Group and a Snapchat-related AR competition (should be fun!) will be intact

The locayshhh is e-veryyyy-thing

It is taking place at the open, outdoor sight that is the Madinat Jumeirah overlooking the Burj Al Arab, cloudy skies the shade of bright blue and the atmosphere of sheer creativity.

There’s no better place for an inspiration.

There will be a cool awards and after-party post festival to recognise creative efforts in the last year (plus it’ll be litty)

If you work in the creative industry or wish to one day be part of it, then it’s a pretty obvious fact that we don’t nearly get as much recognition as other fields do. Except now.

Following the two-day festival will be an entertaining awards show at the Madinat Arena on the final day, dedicated to lauding the most creative individuals who have shaped the media industry in the last year.

All you’ve got to do to get in is swap your Dubai Lynx awards ticket at the entrance at Drai’s for a wristband. Yaaas!

The agenda:

The next Dubai Lynx Festival is 10–12 March 2019 with the Dubai Lynx Awards on 13 March.
