PICS: Thousands Have Gathered In Downtown Dubai To Watch The World Record Attempt As Excitement Mounts

So you may know by now that it’s New Year’s Eve and no where celebrates the New Year quite like Dubai. 

There are over six different places showing fireworks in less than two hours, and many more with large parties. 

The main event however is in Downtown Dubai and centers around the Burj Khalifa. This year, for the first time in recent memory, the tallest building in the world will have a light show in stead of fireworks. It will be no ordinary light show however, it will be a Guinness World Record attempt for the largest laser show ever.
