A Homegrown Emirati Brand Of Milkcakes Has Expanded Globally And They Are Now Available In Covent Garden

Shayma Nawaf Fawwaz launched Gossip Cafe in Dubai four years ago, it’s since expanded to Gossip The Brand, with Gossip Fix, Gossip Glow and Gossip Street.

In 2018, Gossip expanded the branded internationally opening its first branch of Milkcakes by Gossip in London’s Covent Garden.

Shayma exclusively told the DUBAI WORKS business podcast about the thoughts behind the expansion.

Milkcakes were Gossip Cafe’s most popular dessert in Dubai, so they opened a stand-alone store in Dubai Mall

The Emirati brand is hugely popular in the UAE with many spinoff brands, and some well known customers

Then expanded to Covent Garden in the summer of 2018
