LISTEN: The First-Ever Robotics Competition Is In Dubai And There’s A Lot To Expect
Dubai is many things but cultivating and supporting the tech industry, innovation and youth empowerment is one of the main focuses of the Emirate until Expo 2020. Hence, the introduction of the first-ever robotics competition in the city, 2019 FIRST Global DXB Challenge, will see hundreds of international students to compete in one of the most future-focused competitions in the region.
The FIRST Robotics Competition is a US-based robotics education platform partnered with the Dubai Future Foundation to bring its FIRST Global event to Dubai.

The Crown Prince of Dubai is in full support of the UAE team- who will also take part in this year’s competition
The host nation, Team UAE or UAE Falcons, will include seven champions to represent the country at this global event.

The FIRST Global Challenge will take place on October 25-27
The competitions were previously held in the US and Mexico but will now be taken to the region, with its first appearance in the Arab world here in the UAE. This yearly international robotics challenge aims to encourage the youth to grow their love for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
