The UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs has responded to a re-tweet from the chairperson of Qatar Museums.

Sheikha Al Mayassa bin Hamad, chairperson of Qatar Museums reportedly retweeted a picture of a map that was posted by a British researcher, taken in the gift shop Louvre Abu Dhabi which reportedly omitted Qatar from the map.

Dr Anwar Gargash responded via Twitter on Saturday; 'culture remains regarded on a higher standard than these small mishaps."

He states

"Following the tweet by the chairperson of Qatar museums, I was surprised by the exaggerations made regarding a small mistake made by the gift shop in the Abu Dhabi Louvre. There were other observations from individuals who were clearly looking to create unnecessary controversy, but culture remains regarded on a higher standard than these small mishaps."
