A Top UAE Official Has Said The Qatar Ban ‘Could Last For Years’
The UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs has said the Gulf fall out and block on Qatar could last for years.
Dr Anwar Gargash has previously said he does not expect the Kuwaiti mediation to work, and on Monday told reporters in Paris that while the mediation may be useful, it also may be fruitless.
He said: “The Kuwaiti mediation will be very useful and there will be demands coming. Qatar will realise that this is a new state of affairs and isolation can last years.”
He also added: “If they want to be isolated because of their perverted view of what their political role is then let them be isolated.”

With Gulf states closing air, land and sea space to Qatar as well as evicting Qatari nationals from countries.
