The Holy Month of Ramadan is nearly upon us (the exact date is yet to be confirmed,
but officials in Oman declared the first day of Ramadan will fall on Thursday, May 17, so we can expect a similar date) and HH Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the President of the United Arab Emirates, the Emir of Abu Dhabi and the Supreme Commander of the Union Defence Force has just made an incredible announcement.

To mark the occasion of the Holy Month, Sheikh Khalifa ordered the released of 935 prisoners.

The news was announced on Twitter via the Emirates News Agency
