Shawarma is one of those traditional Middle Eastern foods. It’s like a battered sausage in the UK, or Waffles in the US. It’s everyones guilty pleasure. The greasier, the tastier, the better. Each country in the region have their own take on shawarma, it’s even pronounced differently. Here in the UAE, there is a wide range of shawarma, but the classical shawarma is best. We heard recently that many of the shawarma places in the UAE are being shut down if they don’t comply with health and safety standards. So the fact that these is a new place specializing in classical shawarma open in Cluster P in JLT, is very exciting. It’s called Joury.
How good is the shawarma?
