The Model Who Went Viral For Walking Uncovered In Saudi Has Been Released Without Charge

The woman arrested for walking in the streets of Saudi Arabia without the appropriate coverings has been released from police custody without charge, it has been reported.

The model, known as Khulood, was detained on Tuesday for a video that showed her walking uncovered in the region of Ushayqir.

She confessed to the crime, which was shared to a Snapchat account earlier in the week, but said she was unaware the incident was filmed and uploaded. 

The Saudi Centre for International Communication said she confessed, and that she has been released without charge – and the case has been closed.
