The Saudi Arabian Government Have Just Announced They Are Going To Fire 70,000 Expat Employees
All ministries and government departments have been asked to terminate the contracts of expat workers over the next three years.
Civil Services Minister Abdullah Al-Melfi made the announcement in a meeting on Monday. The meeting focused on the Saudization goals for 2020 and was followed by a “job nationalization” workshop, attended by senior government employees.
There are approximately 70,000 expats working in the public sector
This initiative is part of Saudi Arabia’s vision aimed at improving employment opportunities for Saudi nationals and developing non-oil industries.
The Saudi Arabia vision of 2030 needs the cooperation of all government entities according to the deputy minister for the Civil Services.
