Saudi Arabia’s New Budget Airline Debuts Its First Aircraft

Saudi Arabia has officially launched it’s new low-cost airline ‘Flyadeal’.

The airline will begin it’s inaugural flight on September 23, the national day of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Flyadeal unveiled it’s first aircraft in a special delivery ceremony

The ceremony which took place in Hamburg, Germany was attended by flyadeal officials as well as government dignitaries as they welcomed the first aircraft to join flyadeal’s fleet.

The Airbus A320ceo is the first of eight to be added to the fleet between now and mid 2018.

The airline aims to provide low cost, high value travel opportunities to “the modern and budget conscious traveler.”

Flyadeal will serve domestic destinations with expansion into the Middle Eastern market in the near future

CEO of flyadeal, Con Korfiatis said: “flyadeal will be Saudi Arabia’s newest airline, providing a readily accessible low fare travel with an optimal fleet to serve our domestic and regional markets.”

“Saudi Arabia and the region at large, has a very young and digitally savvy population, who has an increasing thirst for low fare travel domestically and across the region. flyadeal plans to serve and grow this significant segment of air travel,” said Korfiatis.
