Saudi Authorities Are Investigating A Video Of An Uncovered Woman Walking Through A Village In The Kingdom

An incident is being investigated in which a woman walked around in Saudi Arabia wearing a mini-skirt and uncovered and filmed it. 

The woman, known as Khulood – a model – was filmed walking through a historic fort in Ushayqir, without hijab, and wearing a mini-skirt and top, which she shared to her Snapchat account.

The move caused controversy with many calling for her arrest in Saudi, for breaking the laws. 

The laws in Saudi dictate women must wear abayas in public and Muslim women must wear hijab. 

The video was published on the woman’s Snapchat and then distributed via Twitter with some Saudis calling for her arrest

Ushayqir is a particularly conservative region in Saudi, north of Riyadh 

Saudi authorities saw the video and have issued a order for her arrest, according to local Saudi press.
