This Resort On The Palm Has Introduced 3 Of The Coolest New Workouts In Dubai That You NEED To Try

Avatar

We are so spoiled with health and fitness facilities in Dubai, that we don’t know where to start. Most people have their gym membership and they may also take part in one of the numerous competitive races, whatever the sport.

Then there are the outdoor activities that we like to do from time to time. After all that, there are amazing recovery facilities and treatments in Dubai.

You’d think that’s everything.

But there are more alternatives to exercise and recovery cropping up all the time.

The Fairmont on the Palm, itself, almost retreat-like and perfect for a staycation, has now introduced three brand-new wellness options. All uniquely different.

Also, keep an eye on their social profiles, for the next few months, they will have various additional lifestyle initiatives will be added to the offering to encourage a healthy body and mind, with further introductions in the area of movement and fitness.

1. AquaSpin

The bikes submerged under water, they say that work underwater is an effective way of building strength while not putting too much pressure on your joints.

This 45-minute class is led by its co-founder, Alicia Antonuccio, at the North Residence pool. She says: ‘The inherent resistance and low-impact properties of the water create the perfect environment for a revolutionary training session’.

Worth a try, even if you are just curious to experience it.

2. State of One and full-moon yoga

If you’ve ever been on the beach at the Fairmont, you’ll know the stunning backdrop of the Dubai Marina skyline, with a brilliant view of the towering structures in the marina.

There, you can take part in a yoga class.

A seasoned and passionate yoga guru conducts the ever popular full moon yoga at the resort in addition to the weekly scheduled yoga classes.

There are also State of One meditation classes – so you can soothe both your body and your mind.

3. PRAMA by Pavigym

I was a bit dubious when I saw this colorful room, it feels like you are entering a computer game. The coach then explains each station, and you just go with it.

PRAMA by Pavigym,  ‘fast-paced challenge that taps frequently into the enjoyment factor of exercise’.

An interactive LED flooring system allowing guests to build a bespoke, individual workout, and changes at all levels of activity. The data is stored in a cloud, making it easy for members to measure, compete and improve their results.

It’s one of those circuit like classes, where you have kept so busy with thinking what to do next, and you forget you are working out. It’s a lot of fun.
