5 Amazing Indie Music Acts You Can See THIS WEEK

There are some stellar musical acts coming to Dubai this week, some are based here, some are from around the GCC and they’ll ALL be at Step Music THIS WEEKEND. 

These brilliantly talented acts will be performing at the Dubai International Marine Club on April 7, in association with Anghami. 

Here are five acts you want to see NOW. 

1. Mashrou Leila 

The five-piece indie band formed in 2008 and has fast established as one of the biggest Arabic-language bands in the world. 

See their electro-pop anthems that touch on political freedoms, race, religion and modern Arabic identity in a unique and explosive way. 

2. The Wanton Bishops 

The Lebanese rockstars have some huge hits, with their raw blues-rock sounds. It’ll be all high energy with the band’s amazing tracks. 

3. Autostrad

Indie band, Autostrad are currently working on their fourth album, and are inspired by everyday life in their native Jordan. 

Their sound fuses aspects of reggae, funk, rock with an Arabic touch. 

4. Narcy 

Arab hip-hop artist, Narcy (aka The Narcicyst) has become one of the most recognised artists in his field. 

He blends performance with education, media with literacy, and creativity with cultural heritage.

5. The Recipe

Dubai’s hip hop superstar trio, The Recipe will be rapping their lyrical storms on the stage – including hits like Place to Rest, and some epic free-styling.
