7 Reasons Why THE BEACH Is The Place To Be This November
It’s November and you don’t need an excuse to be outdoors, but just incase you’re looking for one, we’ll give it to you.
In fact, we’ll give you more than one reason why you should be spending your time outside four walls and at the city’s coolest spot – bet you know we’re talking about THE BEACH.
This seaside lifestyle destination opposite JBR has kicked off enough activities to take you right through to National Day. Here are seven reasons why you should be hanging out at THE BEACH.
1. There’s a funfair going on
If you’re young at heart or want something fun to do with your ‘mini-me’ then this is ideal. Think family-friendly rides and activities including our childhood favourites ‘hook a duck’ and of course the bumper cars. It’s on from 10am to midnight, daily.
2. There are free yoga sessions
While your mates are spending their Dirhams on yoga classes around town, you can enjoy a complimentary one on the South Lawn (near the play area). It takes place four times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday) from 7am to 8am. The only two things you need to do is arrive before time (because it is held on a first-come, first served basis) and bring your mat with you.
3. You can shop at The Market
Later this month, expect an artisanal marketplace offering authentic trinkets, accessories, jewellery and one-of-a-kind pieces. Because they understand some people do not like to be disturbed while shopping, they’ve created ‘Eat Later’ – a spot which offers packaged foods for those on-the-go.
The Market opens mid-November.
4. Go hungry because there’s plenty to feast on
THE BEACH leaves you spoiled for choice with over 20 different cuisines on offer. In addition to eateries such as Eggspectation, Aprons & Hammers, Eat Greek and Leopold’s of London, it also boasts a first-of-its-kind Real Madrid Café.
5. Shopping should be on your agenda
With a mix of fashion (Elisabetta Franchi), beauty (Sephora) and baby stuff (Mothercare) all under one roof, you know there’s no going home empty-handed.
Psst…if you decided to play tourist for the day, head to ‘I Love Dubai’ to pick up incredible souvenirs.
6. Water babies are sorted
THE BEACH is home to Dubai Waterpark, the longest and largest inflatable waterpark in the world. If you’re up for a challenge that involves 75 interconnected obstacles, you should give this a shot.
Tiny tots or children up to the age of 12 have Splash Pad – a wet play area with exciting water attractions.
7. What better way to end the day than a movie
Whether it’s a chick-flick or a thriller, one of Reel Cinemas ten screens will be playing what you want. And if you’re in the mood to spoil yourself, opt for the platinum suite which has its own dedicated kitchen (yep, no popcorn queues) and gives you access to the lounge.
