Abu Dhabi Police Traced A Missing Watch To An Asian Country And Even Got It Back To It’s Rightful Owner

Abu Dhabi Police save the day (and the time) by tracing a watch that was stolen in Abu Dhabi Airport, all the way in another Asian country. 

A woman, who works as a dentist in the capital, had her expensive luxury watch stolen from her at the airport while she was completing her emigration procedures as she was travelling to Canada.

She continued her travels without it

Her husband had made a complaint on her behalf, and that was when police officials were able to identify the thief from CCTV cameras. 

The suspect was an Asian man who had travelled back to his home country that same day. 

Investigations were in the works

The police began investigating the crime, traced the suspect, contacted the police of that country, and were able to recover the watch just within a few days.

The woman was surprised at the airport upon her return from Canada, where officials had returned the watch back to her. 

Safety

Deputy Director of Criminal Investigation Department at Abu Dhabi Police, Brigadier Tariq Khalfan Al Ghool, thanked the team for tackling the crime at that rate, and said that the incident only proved that this country is a safe place to live in.
