What a year, and WHAT an event.
There’s nothing quite like the buzz and energy at Abu Dhabi F1 weekend, where celebs descend on what is the most glam event on the Abu Dhabi sporting calendar.
And yes, it IS a sports event, that happens to bring with it yachts, parties and launch events. It’s the weekend for people and brands to see and be seen, and this year did not disappoint.
You probably know British driver Lewis Hamilton completed a stunning final lap, taking the number one podium position, but with plenty of other events going on, here are four cool ones you might have missed.

4. Yacht parties galore
Were you even at F1 if you didn’t party on a yacht?! The Marina is the place to be, and only a coveted lanyard will grant you access. People partied on yachts, all NIGHT LONG making the very most of the ah-mayyyzing Abu Dhabi weather.
3. BAT and McLaren Racing reaffirmed their partnership with an epic weekend of parties and activations
And marked the announcement with a yacht party, a branded supercar and activations throughout the weekend – how cool!
As the Formula 1 season came to a close, this partnership is a sign of new beginnings for the years to come.

2. Supercars on and OFF the track
The roar of supercars is unmissable the moment you hit Yas Island, but it’s rare that you can actually get up close to one… until the Abu Dhabi F1!
Directly ON Yas Marina, which is open to the public, was an epic supercar, highlighting the partnership between BAT and McLaren! And so many passersby literally stopped in their tracks (!) snapping pics, because HOW often do you even get up close to something this cool?
1. BAT announced the launch of its latest innovation – the Vuse ePod
The Vuse ePod will hit UAE shelves in January, but during the F1 weekend, it was the first time the brand was seen outside of the US… what a weekend to launch!
With an array of innovative products in over 40 countries around the world, the UAE is now the latest addition to an ever-growing list! The McLaren partnership and Vuse launch also saw the announcement of the focus on three global brands VUSE, VELO and glo who will drive the New Categories products in vapour, oral and heating.
