McGettigan’s In Souk Madinat Has A New Long Lunch And It’s Perfect For Those Who Don’t Make Brunch On Time

We could talk all day about brunch and why it holds a special place in our heart. You eat and drink for hours (at a set price, so you’re not worrying about a bill) at any of your favourite spots in the city. It’s something we gloat about to friends living abroad, and it’s always high on the agenda for people visiting Dubai. 

Except it’s got one major flaw. A typical Friday brunch starts at 12pm, which means brunchers have little time to get anything important done on a Friday morning…(lie-ins are important!)

So McGettigan’s at the Madinat has come to the rescue with their new ‘Long Lunch’ brunch

The much loved Irish venue (at it’s relatively new Madinat location) want you to be the boss of your brunch start time. So while the early birds may still choose to start at 12pm, last sittings are not until 4.30pm. 

Think of the Long lunch as a long, lazy three course meal that comes with five selected drinks (everything from bubbles, premium draught, grape and spirits are included) for AED 279 and of course the option of limitless drinks is there too for AED 349.

What’s on the menu?

McGettigan’s stands out among other sports bars in the city for serving up truly impressive, taste of home, dishes. The Friday Long Lunch will be no different, with options including crab Benedict, slow roast short rib of Black Angus beef with all the trimmings or Irish Garlic Bay mussels cooked in white wine, cream and parsley with skinny fries. 

And there’s a Happy Hour from 2pm – 8pm which means you’ll probably never leave

Happy Hour starts at 2pm and selected drinks are only AED 29, so you can enjoy an afternoon of drinks with live music from The Maple Jacks, without breaking the bank. (This is also useful information if you happen to brunch elsewhere, and you’re looking for an affordable brunch after-party!)
