Everything You Need To Know About The NAS Night Challenge And How YOU Can Grab AED56,000 This Year

Listen up folks, the region’s only night-time obstacle course returns for the second time this year with a five km race, 12 obstacles and more than AED56,000 in prize money. 

The NAS Night Challenge, held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan, is returning this year at Nad al Sheba Sports Complex from Thursday, March 15 until Friday, March 16.

The event was previously held during Ramadan 

The first NAS race was in Ramadan 2017 and saw more than 1,000 participants from over 15 countries across the globe in three different categories. 

Individual male and female winners, Othmane Safi and Latifa Essarokh, bagged Dh20,000 each. While a team from the United Arab Emirates also took home Dh20,000 in prize money. 

This year participants will have 12 obstacles to cover over a five kilometers race

The Siege, Vine Swing, Warped Wall, Balance Beam, Rope Ladders, Black Hole and The Chimney are amongst the challenges participants will face at this year’s NAS Night Challenge. 

Participants can enroll as individuals or as teams

Participants over the age of 16 can choose from four categories this year: individual male, individual female, team category (mixed) or team category (female only). 

All four categories are open to UAE nationals, residents and interested participants from outside the country. 

Everything you need to know about the race

Ticket price: AED200 (inc. of VAT) for early bird tickets until February 22. 

Individuals Race (Males & Females)

Date: Thursday, March 15 (8PM–2AM)

Prize Money:  first place AED8,000 – second place AED4,000 – third place AED2,000.

Team Race (Mixed & Female)

Date: Friday, March 16 (8PM–2AM)

Prize Money: first place AED8,000 – second place AED4,000 – third place AED2,000.

This smaller night challenge is a part of the NAS Sports Tournament, which is planned to take place during Ramadan 2018.
