7 Reasons Why Mahiki Is The One Club In Dubai You Need To Visit This Year

Avatar

There are too many clubs in Dubai where the acts of booking a table or standing in a VIP area have become more important than having a good time.

The majority of us want to go for a drink and a dance, and we’re here to tell you Mahiki is the club for that. Located at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, it’s got a chilled, authentic beachy atmosphere. With no VIP rooms and no cordoned off areas, people go to Mahiki for a good party, which is why it’s one of the few spots that still pulls in a crowd the six nights of the week it’s open.

This is an underground Polynesian themed club, so think flowers, fruity cocktails by the bucket load, wooden Tiki sculptures and (thanks to the amazing DJ’s) a constant lively, fun dance floor. Here are seven reasons why Mahiki should be on your bucket-list this year:

1. Friday nights mean guys AND girls for have limitless drinks for just AED 200

With nothing but the best of 80’s, 90’s and 00’s tunes, this is a perfect weekend clubbing night that won’t break the bank. Do the package on it’s own or put it in your diary as a good to know post-brunch option, either way the atmosphere is always incredible.

When? Every Friday from 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM

2. The ladies night at Mahiki has won best ladies night of the year four years IN A ROW

There’s tough competition around town as venues constantly try and ‘out-deal’ each other on weeknights, so Mahiki winning best ladies night four years in a row is pretty huge. Honeys ‘Rock The Boat’ is relaunching this February and takes place every Tuesday night. The nautical themed bash treats ladies to complimentary sushi until 10pm and complimentary cocktails until 1pm…what more could you ask for?!

3. The Mahiki menu is a hidden gem you need to know about

It’s a bites menu so perfect for groups to share. With plenty of big tables, groups can arrive early and get tucked into menu favourites like chicken and Waygu beef sliders, bitzesize melt in the mouth calamari, posh chips (which means they’ve been triple cooked for extra crispiness) and there’s even an entire page devoted to sushi. Perfect for groups and parties, this is an affordable dining option to start the night.

4. It’s open six nights a week

And with different DJ’s nearly every day, there’s something to suit everyone. Check out Skinny Loop on Tuesday, Mo Muscles on Wednesday, Soul Ninja on Thursday, Andy Swift on Friday, Ric Banks on Saturday and Adam Graca on Sunday.

5. It’s a huge celeb favourite

This is a stalworth on the clubbing scene so when celebs are in town, they know Mahiki is the spot to visit. Everyone from Rihanna, Leona Lewis, Nicole Scherzinger, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, Olly Murs, Jordan Dunn, Prince Harry, Tyson and Mark Wight and his beautiful wife Michelle Keegan have all darkened the doors at one point or another.

6. Their fresh fruit cocktails are like NO OTHER

Mahiki spends more money on fresh fruit daily than most bars spend annually and when you see guests guzzling from the fresh pineapple or fresh coconut cocktails you’ll understand why.

The cocktails here are specially created and the majority of them don’t even come in regular glasses. We recommend the signature Mahiki cocktail, it comes with a hint of caramel, pear, strawberry, lemon and topped with a dash of bubbly, it’s the perfect tropical island drink.

7. If you’re there for the rum, you won’t be disappointed

The paradise theme is present throughout the club, with treasure chests filled with drinks and some of the rarest rum in the world available on request. The are over 100 types of rum on hand, so even the pickiest rum connoisseur will be sated.
