The Spinneys Dubai 92 is the biggest amateur cycling event on Dubai’s calendar.

Build-up rides for the famous 92km ride have been taking place since the weather cooled this September and riders throughout the city are gearing up the big event.

The challenge is happening this Friday 15; there are two distances to choose from; 92km and 53km, and if this is something you fancy, there is still time to get your name down.

Late registration for an elite group opens today December 12; here’s what you need to know

It’s not JUST about the cycle

Supporters worry not, there’s plenty to do if you’re waving the flag for a loved one.

Cycle Village will be up and running; Spinneys will be supporting with a healthy Spinneys breakfast, sports massages provided by UPANDRUNNING and Dubai92 will be broadcasting live from the event; with plenty of spot prizes to give away.

There are plenty of opportunities for kids to give cycling a go

There are themed rides for six to 15-year-olds – Dr Joy Dental Clinic Junior Rides – where kids of all abilities are invited to try cycling. This is happening on a closed track at the Dubai Autodrome on Thursday 14.

There’s something special for the younger kids too; a balance bike course for kids between two and five years provided by The Arbor School Mini Challenge; this is happening on both Thursday evening and Friday morning and the kids will love it.

Safety first…

The safety of cyclists is of utmost importance and the Spinneys Dubai 92 challenge has the full support of Dubai Police.

*Cyclists must maintain an average speed of 26km per hour; failure to do so means you won’t reach the cut off points and will be unable to complete the 92km route.

Late registration is happening between December 12 and 14 at the Dubai Autodrome
