Barasti Is The ONLY Place You Should Be Celebrating Australia Day At This Year

Probably because we’re a city of expats, but when a National Day rolls around, locals of that country go ALL OUT to celebrate their culture. You’re a long way from home, you’re proud of where you come from…it makes sense.

So whether it’s St Patrick’s Day for the Irish, Cinco de Mayo for the Mexicans or Australia Day for the Aussie’s, there’s always a big knees-up. And with Australia Day just around the corner, it looks like Barasti is the place to head to.

Barasti Beach Bar is hosting a whole load of Aussies on Saturday 28th, so you can be sure things will get ridiculous

Who knew there was an Australian Business Council in Dubai? Well there is and they’re ready to celebrate! Shoes and ties will be left at the door (hopefully), as the folks from down-under show us how it’s done.

If you haven’t been, you should know that Barasti is pretty much a Dubai institution…and for those who have, read: 18 things you’ll know if you’re ever been to Barasti Beach Bar

It’s free entry ALL DAY LONG

The big event is on Saturday 28th, from 12 pm. There’ll be plenty of seating available at any of the huge open bars, but guaranteed the beach beds won’t last long!

Narrating the day, and joining in on the fun no doubt.

There’s going to be a huge BBQ

With the obligatory shrimp on the barbie, OF COURSE. It wouldn’t be true to the Aussie way of life without firing up a BBQ on Australia Day. Luckily the good people at Barasti will do the ‘firing-up’ for you, all you’ve got to do is turn up and eat and drink your weight in meat and cold ones!

There’s a whole loads of activities going on, so this is an event for the entire family

There’s loads going on including a jumping castle, bungee running and sack race (cross you fingers these are not JUST for the kids!).

There’s also a big raffle, with 2 Quantas BUSINESS Class tickets up for grabs, car rental in Australia courtesy of SIXT to the value of approx. AED 8200 and a couple of Entertainer Apps aswell.

Australia Day 2016 0019

There’s a huge free car park for everyone going so you’ve got zero excuse not to drive down on the day!
