Tourists In The UAE Will Soon Be Able To Claim Their VAT Back

This is brilliant news for tourists visiting the UAE, but we can’t help but feel a little jealous.

It’s just been announced that VAT refunds will be made available to tourists in the UAE, according to Federal Tax Authority official Khalid Al Bustani, via Gulf News.

A private company will be chosen shortly to manage the refunds and ensure a fair, best practice system is in place.

“Tourism is important to the UAE, and we’re aware of the importance of having a tourism refund” stated the director-general of the Federal Tax Authority (FTA).
