The CD Department received information a goat had been stranded on Jebel Jais, the UAE’s tallest mountain, for several days. The owner had sent in the alert, he stated the goat was trapped and couldn’t find its way home.

But even a goat stuck at 55 metres can be saved. The team gathered ladders, ropes and harnesses, and scaled the sheer cliff. Once a member of the team reached the goat, he carefully used a harness to allow the goat to descend via the ropes.

RAK authorities saved the day with this major effort!
