People will go to great lengths for national pride – but this Dubai based Irish man, who travelled 8,000 kilometres to watch his home team play proved how worth it it can be.
Paul Carmody flew home to Ireland the day before his county team, Limerick would play Galway in the All-Ireland hurling final.
Hurling is an Irish game played on grass. Players use a wooden bat called a hurley and a small ball called a sliotar, it’s one of the fastest grass games in the world. Scroll down to see a game in action.
Paul documented the journey from the moment he woke in Dubai at 4.30am
