It doesn’t get much cooler than this.
Just when you thought Jebel Jais had everything, (mad hiking treks, the world’s longest ziplink and an ice rink) the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority behind the UAE’s tallest mountain’s adrenaline activities just announced a collaboration with Bear Grylls Survival Academy, and we’re already digging out our tents to take part.
The Bear Grylls Survival Academy will launch on Jebel Jais and it sounds seriously extreme
The Bear Grylls Survival Academy has 20 locations worldwide
And are created in collaboration with the main man himself, Bear Grylls a former British SAS serviceman and survival instructor who made a TV career showcasing survival techniques in extreme conditions.
All ages and fitness levels will be welcome and you’ll choose between half-day courses, to 24 or 48 hour courses.
Think team building, mates dates, family activities or a solo adventure where survival techniques will be put to the test on the desert terrain.
The academy activities will be adapted for the UAE landscape
This sounds so extreme
Ever wondered how long you’d stay alive in the desert… if you really needed to?
Highly trained professionals will put your skills to the test, including, ‘making a fire in the wilderness, building emergency shelters, using a knife for survival, remote medical trauma, training on navigation techniques, rock climbing and extreme weather survival’ according to reports.
Brace yourselves: The Bear Grylls Survival Academy is coming in 2020
The announcement was made at the Arabian Travel Market, which is happening this week at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre
