Veganuary Is Catching On: Here Are 5 Amazing Spots To Get Your Vegan Fix In Dubai

Avatar

Forget dry January, it’s 2019 and internet is officially obsessed with ‘Veganuary’.

For the month of January, people across the world (particularly in the UK) are giving the vegan diet a go – a plant based diet which has strictly no products from animals, or dairy products.

Even celebrity chef Gordan Ramsay, the chef who’s famously anti the diet is jumping on the bandwagon and Dubai is already ahead of the game, with plenty of spots offering vegan dishes and some devoted wholly to the plant based diet.

Here are five places you can eat GREAT vegan food in Dubai

So good you won’t even know it’s vegan

Vietnamese Foodies, Cluster D JLT

So many dishes in Vietnamese cooking already fall under the vegan category and Vietnamese Foodies in JLT is a popular spot to get your fix.

Prepared with fresh veggies daily, go for the sweet potato, eggplant and zucchini rolls to start followed by the Pho Chay for mains; this is a pho-nomenal vegan friendly bowl of pho made up of lotus root, mushroom and tofu. YUM!

Wild & The Moon, Al Quoz

‘Plant-based, organic, cold-pressed, wild-crafted, gluten-free, unpasteurized, zero additives, zero plastic’ says its Instagram bio, so if you’re new to veganism and want to dive head first, here’s your spot.

With the winter upon us, treat yo’self to one of four superbowls on the menu (AED49)

Warm your cockles with this delish bowl

Urth by Nabz&G, JLT

For satisfying vegan meals look no further, and yup, curries are just as delish when they’re vegan.

The chickpea curry from Urth by Nabz&G is up there with the greats and the ‘zucchini marinara with vegan meatballs’ is a brill vegan main. For a little something on the side, go for the raw burger sliders, each one is about three bites of happiness, the perfect starter to your meal.

Life ‘n One, Jumeirah

No vegan food journey in Dubai is complete without a trip to Life ‘n One. And you might even physically feel a sense of calm after spending a couple of hours chilling at the wellbeing centre, which feels a little like a yoga retreat, in the heart of Jumeirah.

And the menu is fantastic. A bundle of plant based goodies, with everything from classic breakfasts to sweet bowls and superfood salads. DO NOT LEAVE without trying the famous Snickers pie (AED55) – you won’t regret it.

SuperNatural Kitchen, Dubai Mall

Too often you can eat all the healthy food at home, but once you leave, your diet goes out the window.

Fortunately, the SuperNatural Kitchen is located within Dubai Mall, making this spot your go-to on your next shopping trip (DSF, anyone?!)

100% vegan and plant based which means that anything that takes your fancy on the menu is within your diet…hurrah! This place proves risotto can be ah-mazzzzzing without cream.
