Argentina Has Cancelled A World Cup Warm-Up Match Against Israel And People On Twitter Can’t Stop Praising Them
Argentina has cancelled a warm-up match due on Saturday due to growing political pressure in terms of Israel’s treatment of Palestinian’s in Gaza.
According to The National, the chairman of the Palestinian Football Association, Jibril Rajoub, issued a statement thanking Lionel Messi and his team for this step.
Since the match was supposed to be held in occupied Jerusalem, Gaza was all cheers with the release of this news, and they weren’t the only ones. Several tweets in support of Argentina’s move went up on twitter within minutes.

“Values, morals and support have secured a victory today and a red card was raised at Israel through the cancellation of this match” said Rajoub.
According to media reports, Prime Minster of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu was in contact with President of Argentine, Mauricio Macri, in attempts to save the friendly tie and to not have the match cancelled.
