Now An Egyptian Lawyer Is SUING The Footballer Who Went Down With Mohamed Salah
This is too much.
Hearts broke across Egypt and the MENA region when Liverpool’s golden boy, Egyptian Mohamed Salah took a tumble in the finals of the UEFA Champions League final.
He, along with Real Madrid player Sergio Ramos hit the floor and Salah was forced to leave the game due to a dislocated shoulder.
There were tears, the internet went wild, and now the story deepens.
An Egyptian lawyer is filling an AED4.4BILLION lawsuit against Sergio Ramos
An Egyptian lawyer announced the complaint to FIFA against the Real Madrid captain – citing deliberate intent to inflict “physical and psychological harm” to the player and the Egyptian people, according to reports.
“I’ll ask for compensation, which could exceed €1 billion, for the physical and psychological harm that Ramos gave Salah and the Egyptian people.”
Any funds won will be donated to the ‘Long Live Egypt Fund’ – an Egyptian political party.
Do you agree with the lawyer? Many do…
Change.org has a petition with nearly 500,000 signatures. (457,108 at time of publishing).
The petition website, where you can advocate for change has a full page of Ramos related petitions, mostly negative
And one titled ‘UEFA & FIFA should punish Sergio Ramos for intentionally punishing Mohamed Salah’ is getting the most attention.
The petition reads…

Almost half a million people have signed
Many are concerned the Egyptian football star won’t be able to play for his country in the first round of the World Cup in Russia in June.
But Salah’s recent tweet has everyone hoping for the best.
“I’ll be in Russia”
It was a very tough night, but I’m a fighter. Despite the odds, I’m confident that I’ll be in Russia to make you all proud. Your love and support will give me the strength I need. pic.twitter.com/HTfKF4S70e
