Home to ancient artifacts, sculptures and works by the masters, it’s just been announced that for its first exhibition of 2019, an exhibition by the masters is coming.
‘Rembrandt, Vermeer & the Dutch Golden Age’ is opening at the Louvre Abu Dhabi on Valentine’s Day.
The extraordinary exhibition includes more than 90 works from the 17th Century Dutch Golden age; this is truly unmissable for art lovers.
The exhibition includes 15 paintings by Rembrandt van Rijn
The exhibition runs from February 14 until March 18
With 95 artworks and objects, including 15 paintings by Rembrandt van Rijn and other famed “fijnschilders” – fine painters – of the Netherlands.
The exhibition shows work from Rembrant and his rival and peers at the time including Johannes Vermeer, Jan Lievens, Ferdinand Bol, Carel Fabritius, Gerrit Dou, Frans van Mieris and Frans Hals.
