Dubai International Airport Wins Best Airport for Layovers Award
The Conde Nast Traveller Readers’ Choice Awards Middle East took place in Dubai this week and Dubai International Airport won an award.
It was voted the world’s Best Airport for Layovers for the second year in a row. It is a pretty big deal since the airport is counted as the one of the busiest airports in the world in terms of international passenger traffic.
Dubai was one of three finalists in the category. The other two were Hamad International Airport (Doha) and Changi International Airport (Singapore).
It made it to the list because of its round-the-clock availability of dining options, retail brands, hotels and relaxation concepts (think spa treatments and sleeping pods).
