This Emirati Athlete Has Written An Open Letter To Nike Haters And Her Response Is Beautiful

Many celebrated when Nike announced the launch of an athletic hijab – designed for Muslim women in sport. 

It was a long time in the making for the sport brand, and the designs were formulated with Muslim athletes to ensure maximum comfort, flexibility and function. 

Though the product did attract some critics around the world.

And so, Emirati weightlifter, Amna Al Haddad posted a response to the critics on her Instagram

Manal Rostom, who appeared in the promotional photos for the campaign, also posted to her Facebook page about the people asking why the hijab is important
