Sheikh Mohammed Has Just Launched A First Of Its Kind Institute For Tolerance

Earlier this week we told you about UAE launching a code for tolerance and peace.

Today, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice-president and prime minister of the UAE and ruler of Dubai, launched the region's first of its kind International Institute for Tolerance. 

Its role will be to provide necessary consultations and experiences that help consolidate tolerance values among people. It will also work with other global cultural institutions in the region to teach the emerging generations values of tolerance.

The institute will conduct studies to delve into the root causes of intolerance, isolation and sectarianism and publish tolerance-related researches and reports.

He tweeted about the same

"We launched today the International Institute for tolerance to develop research studies and research on the roots of intolerance and supports researchers and specialists in this field."

"International Institute for tolerance will also research contributions to education systems to establish the value of tolerance among young Arabic generations"

A 'Mohammad Bin Rashid Tolerance Award' has also been introduced...

A part of of Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (one that aims to develop human communities), this award has been introduced to build young Arab cadres in the field of tolerance.

"The new award will connect with young people and encourage artistic and cultural production and especially on social media to establish tolerance in our region."
