Panic Over: New Visa Rules For Fresh Graduates Will Come Into Effect Next Week
Graduating was bitter sweet for many UAE students who had to face the task of finding a job or leave after completing their studies.
Now, new visa extensions for fresh graduates will soon come into effect.
Students who complete their studies can gain a one year visa extension, twice. It’s open to all students above the age of 18 who have completed grade 12 or university studies.
The new visa will be valid from the date of graduation or from the date of obtaining the high school certificate.
What do you need?
You need to submit your attested certificates and an AED5,000 deposit from a parent needs to be made. This deposit will be refunded once the student changes their visa status.
There is an AED100 visa fee per year
Under current UAE laws, females can remain under their parents visa until they are married, so this new legislation mostly benefits males.
